Wait A Little on our main camp in the Karongwe Private Game Reserve overlooking the Makuthswe River. All our safaris start and end here.

We have four luxury thatched tented rooms all overlooking the Makuthswe River. The camp has a communal area with open dining, lounge and bar area, a viewing deck, and a fire pit. Outside, we have a swimming pool and a boma where we have our brunches. The camp has no fences so you will often see Nyala, Bushbuck, Kudu, and Waterbuck, Warthog, and many other animals when you are relaxing by the pool or on the deck.

Here is a look at our luxury thatched tented rooms

Room 1

Room 2

Room 4

Room 1, 2 and 4: Sleeps 2 guests

These rooms can be easily converted from double rooms with a super king-size extra-length bed to twin rooms with three-quarter size extra-length single beds. They have an en-suite bathroom with an outside shower, a bath overlooking the Makuthswe River, a toilet, and a washbasin. The outside verandas are both under thatch and uncovered and are perfect to soak up the African sun and perhaps read a book or just enjoy the nature around you.

Room 3

Room 3: Sleeps 4 guests

This room is twice the size of the other three, with two king-size double beds and a seating area. As with all our rooms, the generous veranda outside is both under thatch and uncovered. Room 3 also has an additional viewing deck and an extra toilet for privacy. The en-suite bathroom also has an outside shower as well as a bath overlooking the river. This room is great for families or people that have to share not knowing each other.

Wait A Little tries everything to make your experience as comfortable as possible.
The lounge area is equipped with a library giving you the chance to read about the wildlife, flora, and fauna of South Africa. At lunchtime, we serve a delicious brunch on our patio under the cover of huge Jackal-berry trees.
In the evenings join us for a drink around a big open fire, followed by a three-course dinner. For a personal experience, we will accompany you throughout your stay and share all of your excitements and adventures together.

The culinary experience is important for your relaxation and a great effort is made to prepare fresh and delicious dishes. Gerti, Philip, and Jo, cook together with Ana to ensure a homemade and personal experience.

When staying at Wait A Little main camp the food is expertly prepared for you on a daily basis with a wide selection of European and African specialties. Freshly baked bread, high-quality meat, venison and fish, vegetables, fresh salads, fruits, and desserts are served on a nicely decorated table with South African house wines to compliment your food.

Your culinary experience at Wait A Little will be one to rival your horse riding experience.
